  • Weave the ancient wisdom traditions of yoga and ayurveda with tools of recovery to enhance your understanding of yoga as therapy for recovery
  • Instruct, guide and practice mindful yoga and meditations ~ offering basic therapeutic interventions, an understanding of proprioception, neuroscience, and current evidence-based trauma-informed research
  • Provide a framework of yoga as therapy for recovery, incorporating a trauma sensitive lens, including practices to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and other co-occurring symptoms
  • Invite participants to engage in comprehensive approach to emotional sobriety & well-being ~ by embracing the concepts of surrender, letting go, acceptance, growth, awakening, gratitude, and seva (selfless service)
  • Offer support for when and how to introduce specific yoga and ayurvedic techniques in daily living, adapting and modifying the practices during challenge, and offering special considerations in trauma-informed care for young people and seniors in recovery
  • Offer a range of powerful healing modalities for mind, body and spirit to master life balance while juggling the complex demands of the world

The intention of this program is to provide participants with in-depth knowledge and practice in the application and integration of several traditional eastern-based wisdom practices and modern evidence-based western clinical and counseling practices. The program’s theoretical framework is designed with several modalities: instruction, lectures and videos, physical asana, breathing and meditation practices, off-site readings, a yoga as therapy research project and a supervised “practicum”. We will explore various yoga as therapy for recovery techniques that promote the optimal health and well-being of persons in long term (“second stage”) recovery.

Perfect Health Through Seven Spiritual Laws

The remarkable benefits of yoga, which include improved flexibility, balance, muscle tone, endurance, and vitality, only hint at the extraordinary power of this deeply spiritual practice. When adhered to and practiced mindfully, yoga and ayurveda practices unlock our full creative potential, capacity for love and compassion, and an ability to find success in all areas of life.

The 7 Spiritual Laws

The perfect health program offers a unique approach based upon the powerful principals of ayurveda, India’s 5000-year old healing system. The science of ayurveda focuses upon the whole person: mind, body and spirit ~ seeking to correct imbalances that cause distress, and ultimately, disease. In contrast with the precepts of conventional medicine, ayurveda clearly defines health not as the absence of illness or symptoms, but as a state of higher consciousness, allowing us to experience greater energy, creativity, well-being and happiness in our daily lives.

This workshop examines how the seven spiritual laws of yoga and ayurveda play a crucial role in yoga’s path to enlightenment, while providing participants with a wealth of meditation techniques, mantras, breathing exercises, and yoga poses, as well as coaching around successful personal, professional and business practices. Whether a newcomer to yoga, or an experienced practitioner, the seven spiritual laws of yoga and ayurveda may be a portal to yoga’s deeper dimensions.

Love & Service – A Full Body Prayer

Integrate the ancient wisdom traditions of yoga and ayurveda with tools of recovery to enhance your understanding of yoga as therapy for recovery. This workshop offers a trauma sensitive framework of yoga as therapy, incorporating practices to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and other co-occurring symptoms. Come practice a comprehensive approach to emotional sobriety & well-being, embodying concepts like surrender, letting go, acceptance, growth, awakening, gratitude, and selfless service.
